Eli Pariser on Filter Bubbles (HT Mockingbird). Consider that these “bubbles” are not only found online, or in the media. You have such self-made bubbles, in your life, in your reading, in your listening. How, then, to identify these self-made bubbles? How do we get out of them? And for the Church, at large and in a particular place: what are our bubbles, both in how we read Scripture (what do we pay attention to, what do we ignore, what do we just not notice), and in our communities (both the congregational community and the larger community in which we find ourselves; also who we are choosing to see, and who we are refusing to see).
Oh, and careful who you kiss.
